Overall consensus is the Chamberlain Liftmaster/Craftsman brand openers are the most reliable on the market today……. the tracks the garage door are okay to keep unless you see signs that the rollers are wearing in which case they can be replaced.

If I may ……… that before you spend money replacing major parts…….if I can make you aware that you have another option and that is to upgrade your opener ……and consider replacing it……….here is why. so right now I am going to paste a standard form of mine to help you in making a decision.you won't need to replace both openers.wait until the other goes south.but please read through my advisement post below. but would risk alienating the remotes from the way they are operating now for you.the other possibilities are !-) you need to replace the gears or 2-) the logic board needs to be replaced. we could do a hard reset for both doors at the same time. I can cycle through some things but it will only Band-Aid your situation because your opener is so old. paying for a phone call charge wouldn't be a good idea for you at present.the reason being.
